I just started a new commissioned piece titled "Clifftop Poppies", by Anchor. It is stitched on 16 count white aida. This kit will be customized per request of the customer. I have been asked to stitch this so it will fit into a 10 inch hoop. This is roughly what the piece will look like when it is completed. I have also been asked to leave the backside "messy" by leaving 1-2 inch tails. Typically I take pride in the backside of my projects being neat, but I will try to keep the backside messy at the request of the customer.
Queen of fire is now complete. After only 2 weeks, I am proud to present my latest piece. I forgot to mention, this piece was stitched on 28 count Jobelan "marbelled rose". The metallic thread and beads added a wonderful accent to the piece. To view this bigger, click on the photo above or view it in my photo gallery. a close up of the beads in the hair piece and the earrings.
Here is the 1 week progress photo. So far this piece has been easy to stitch, the pattern is easy to read/follow and the colors are bright.
